What is Key Club?

Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. The organization offers a wide range of opportunities to its members: 

 

- Leadership development
- Vocational guidance
- College scholarships
- Subscription to the Key Club magazine
- Service-learning
- Personal enrichment
- Value-added member benefit programs

Kiwanis Family

Kiwanis International is formed by several branches. Key Club International is only one of the several branches of the Kiwanis Family. Kiwanis family branches include:

 

  • K-Kids (Elementary School)

  • Builders Club (Middle School)

  • Key Club (High School)

  • KIWINS (High School)

  • Circle K (College)

  • Aktion Club (Disabled)

  • Kiwanis (Adults)

Our Structure

Club- Each club that has paid its dues is part of Key Club International. This level is where most of the service takes place. Clubs consist of members, officers and Faculty Advisors. Kiwanis Adivisors from the Sponsoring Kiwanis Club is involved too. 

Ex: Sheldon High School > Sheldon Key Club

Division- A division is a grouping of clubs in an area. The Lieutenant Governor leads the division with the assistance of a leadership team. Each division has a mascot.

Ex: Emily Nguyen > LTG
      Division 7 South > Orange Monsters

Region- A region is a grouping of divisions within an area. One or two Kiwanis Advisors are assigned as Region Advisors who help the Lieutenant Governors with the divisions they serve. 

Ex: Division 7S, Division 7N, Division 44S, Division 44N, Division 27S, Division 27N > Region 16

District- A district is a grouping of divisions within an area. A district is led by a District Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, Technology Editor and Administration. 

Ex: California + Nevada + Hawaii > Cali-Nev-Ha District

International- International consists of all the districts, divisions and clubs of the organization. It is led by the International President, Vice President, and 11 Trustees.
